    Walk Week

    Walk Week is a free annual event that encourages West Australians of all ages to become more physically active by walking for health, transport, recreation and the environment.

    This year we are pleased to announce the 10th anniversary of Walk Week and would like to invite your organisation to participate. Workplaces, local governments and the community are invited to host a walking event by holding a lunchtime walk, trying a local trail or even starting a walking group.

    Register to hold a community or workplace walking event between 1 – 7 November 2010 online at www.transport.wa.gov.au/walking by 17 September 2010 to receive free merchandise and an event kit.

    Sunday Acting Workshops for Youth

    The WA Youth Theatre Company takes bookings all year round for their popular workshop program for 12-22 year olds on Sundays. They will be holding two sessions, beginners (age 12-15) from 3-5pm and intermediate (age 16-22) from 5-7pm. Workshop series runs for eight weeks at the King Street Arts Centre, Murray St Perth.     Women Working Out - 10 Week Personal Training

    This 10 week workshop is designed to teach women how to exercise and tone their bodies without the need of a gym membership. The workouts and exercise techniques you will learn over the 10 weeks will give you the skills to work out in the comfort of your own home and achieve your weight loss or fitness goals.

    The program runs every Wednesday from October 14th to December 16th between 9am to 10am at Maddington Community Centre. Cost is $20 and bookings are essential. Phone 9490 2258 for bookings and more information.

    Multicultural Sewing Class

    These sewing classes are for beginners to learn to make clothes for their children and themselves. Class will run on Tuesdays between the 13th of October to the 15th of December. Cost is free and will be held at the Multicultural Playgroup (Ground Floor of Lotteries House Building).
