Advocacy South West

Our organisation provides advocacy for people with disabilities and/or mental illnesses and their families in the South West Region by:
  • Developing freely given advocacy relationships between individuals through Volunteer Advocacy Programme.
  • Providing individual issue-based advocacy as required.
  • Promoting self-advocacy by empowering individuals through programmes and activities.
  • Promoting attitudinal change in the community to one of acceptance of diversity and individual differences.
  • Promoting social inclusion.
  • Using Community Development strategies to build networks and develop social capital.
