About Outdoor Classroom Day Australia

Outdoor Classroom Day is a day to celebrate and inspire outdoor learning and play.

On Thursday, 7 November, schools around Australia will take lessons outside and prioritise playtime.

Nature Play WA are leading the campaign in WA, and are asking for help to reach as many parents, schools and early learning centre's as possible, encouraging them to register.

Last year 36% of WA primary schools took part, in nearly every Local Government area around the State.

Outdoor learning improves children’s health, engages them with learning and leads to a greater connection with nature. Play not only teaches critical life skills such as resilience, teamwork and creativity, but is central to children’s enjoyment of childhood.
