Albany Roller Derby League (ARDL) began in early 2014 with a group of strangers sitting around a table at a local pub.
Safety, athleticism and teamwork are highly regarded values for the ARDL. Our mission is to promote and develop sportspersonship, fostering the sport of roller derby in our community as well through activities, events and charity involvement.
ARDL aspire to develop a group of skaters who are committed and passionate about the sport of flat track roller derby. We strive to encourage, conduct and advance Roller Derby as a legitimate sport. ARDL also promote the importance of Roller Derby safety, standards, athleticism and teamwork, and strongly encourage members to realize their potential and athletic abilities.
