Meditation and mindfulness bring long lasting mental health benefits and it’s something you can practice in everyday life. It can help to lower stress, improve focus and is a great way to be kind to ourselves.

Here are some ways that you can practice meditation and mindfulness:

Focus on your breath – Get comfortable and find a place to be still for a few minutes. Focus on where you feel your breath most and try to keep your attention on your inhale and exhale.
Body Scan Meditation - Begin to focus your attention on different parts of your body. For each part of the body, linger for a few moments and notice the different sensations as you focus.
Walking Meditation – Walking at a natural pace, placing your hands however it makes you comfortable, notice the movement of your body with each step. Whenever your mind wanders, come back to the sensation of walking as many times as you need.
You may want to try this on your own, or why not get a friend or family member involved too!
