The MetSO, was founded in 1977 to support a young musician with mental health difficulties. That young man went onto become world renowned pianist David Helfgott OAM. Through our partnership with Act Belong Commit we are still committed to supporting mental wellbeing through the arts
We welcome string players AMEB 6+ to join in our open rehearsal, and anyone from the general public who might be interested in experiencing a live orchestral rehearsal.
