Newman Churchlands Swimming Club is a community-based swimming club located at Newman College on Empire Avenue in Churchlands, Western Australia.
Our club facilities include a newly-heated 50 metre outdoor pool, gymnasium and brand new clubrooms.
The club is open to membership from swimmers both internal and external to Newman College and draws members from the surrounding primary and secondary schools. Swimmers range in their development from junior leisure swimmers all the way through to competition squads. The club also hosts a Masters swimming group.
As a club we are committed to providing a safe and fun environment for children to participate in. As such, we adhere to Swimming Australia’s Safe Sport Framework. The Safe Sport Framework sets out the responsibilities that all Clubs and Persons in Positions of Authority have to Members and Participants when it comes to protecting our Members and Children and Young People. The Framework represents best practice processes and procedures, as well as tools and guidance for all Persons in Positions of Authority in Swimming.
