About this activity...
The Empowering Connections project fosters social inclusion by supporting older CALD and LGBTIQ+ volunteers through intergenerational activities and cultural exchanges. All events are held at Umbrella’s building in Belmont, providing a welcoming space for workshops, peer support, and cultural presentations. These activities celebrate diversity, promote understanding, and build meaningful relationships. By empowering volunteers to contribute and collaborate, the project strengthens community ties, reduces disadvantage, and creates a more inclusive and Age-Friendly Community.
