About this activity...

Propel Youth Arts WA is the peak body for youth arts in Western Australia. Creative activity in all shapes and sizes is celebrated here.

From contemporary dance to photography, music to design, theatre to visual art – creative activity in all shapes and sizes is celebrated here.

Our work is focused on arts advocacy, skills development and access to opportunities, for those already engaged in the arts and those who would like to be.

Our website offers free events and news listings and our fornightly e-zine provides the latest in news, opportunities and current events in the WA arts sector.

In order to engage young people in the arts we run a range of programs. Our largest event, the KickstART Festival, includes a market day, workshops, forums, local music, exhibitions and activities all in celebration of National Youth Week.

If you're looking for arts business advice and information, the Amplifier Arts Business Guide and workshop series covers everything from finding funding to working out tax, marketing, finding venues and heaps more.

ArtsCAMP is our annual camp, and is a week long creative experience for 15 – 17 year olds to find out more about the arts industry and explore their creative potential.

Our Drug Aware YCulture Metro skills development initiative has been providing arts grants of up to $3000 to young people for over seven years.

MOSAIC asks everyone to photograph a moment from their day over 24 hours and send it in to us. We then collate the images and place them in exhibition for everyone to see the collective memory of our State.

The Restoring Hope Art Exhibition is a collection of artworks by young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. Art work is created through artist led workshops across a range of artforms.
