Get crafty for your mental health! Activities like knitting, crochet, weaving, ceramics, needlework and woodwork balances skill and challenge. They are mindful activities that have many mental health benefits.

Here are some ways you can get involved in craft activities:

Get involved in a craft group near you. Your local library or local government are places that may be running craft groups.
Start a new craft project and dedicate time to practice your craft each day.
Repair and other tinkering activities are also good ways to keep mentally healthy. Why not see if there is a local Men’s Shed near you?
Donate your handmade items to charity! See if a neighbour, friend or family member wants to take part with you. It can be a nice way to connect with others while putting your mind to work for a greater cause!
