Mentally Healthy Organisations
Act-Belong-Commit builds sustainable and meaningful partnerships between like-minded organisations who share a vision for a more mentally healthy WA.
Using a structured partnership model involving 270+ partners across Schools, Community, Associates and International organisations, we raise awareness and encourage participation in activities promoting good mental health, strengthen individual resilience, reduce stigma associated with mental illness, and build more mentally healthy communities.
Results of a 2018 evaluation of our partner program suggest that partnering with Act-Belong-Commit is an effective way of:
- Building the mental wellbeing of the community: 60% of respondents reported an increase in the overall mental health of members/clients.
- Increasing the skills and knowledge surrounding health promotion: 63% of respondents indicated the program is assisting to build health promotion capacity.
Mentally Healthy Schools
Our Mentally Healthy Schools Program provides a framework to embed Act-Belong-Commit within the whole school community in order to boost the mental health and wellbeing of students and staff and prevent the onset of mental health problems.
With over 60 partnered schools across WA, the Mentally Healthy Schools Program has made significant progress in encouraging young people to talk about mental health, in reducing stigma around mental illness, and in increasing staff and student participation in mentally healthy activities.
We have a variety of resources to support individuals and organisations promote and achieve good mental health and wellbeing.
