Feel Good Feb to promote good will


February is an ideal time of year to brighten someone’s day with a random act of kindness, according to mental health organisation Act-Belong-Commit.

Running in Karratha, Roebourne and Onslow for another year, Feel Good Feb encourages people to do random acts of kindness around their communities during February and share a photo or description of it on social media to promote positive mental health.

Act-Belong-Commit Pilbara health promotion co-ordinator Shelley-Anne Heelan said the campaign was a good way to boost positivity in the community after the often stressful festive season. She said random acts of kindness were usually simple but had the power to “make a big difference in someone’s life” and improve the mental health of givers as well as recipients.
