Welcome to our new Mentally Healthy Partners: September

Posted 14 Sep 2021

We’re excited to highlight four new partners who have signed on to our Act Belong Commit campaign. We look forward to working with these fantastic organisations to enable mentally healthy communities.

Albany Book Clubs

Albany Book Clubs has been a part of the Albany community since it began as a club to encourage adult literacy over 30 years ago. Today it still encourages book reading and supports 45 different community groups in the Great Southern, whose members come together to discuss books borrowed from the organisation’s central library of over 5,500 books.

Murdoch Psychiatry

Murdoch Psychiatry supports people with a range of psychiatric conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD/ADD, schizophrenia and other psychiatric disorders. The team provides therapy that is both tailored and collaborative, through a range of evidence-based approaches.

Serpentine Jarrahdale Community Resource Centre

The Serpentine Jarrahdale Community Resource Centre is a hub for the over 30,000 residents in the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale and is dedicated to building a strong local community. The Centre provides a focal point for tourism, information and ticketing and it brings people together through a range of groups, craft activities and events. The Centre’s services are open to all local residents but it has a particular focus on the more vulnerable community members, including seniors and carers.

Allegro Community Choir

Allegro is a community choir based in Perth’s southern suburbs whose members come together for the joy of singing, the love of music, stress relief and to improve their voice and confidence. Allegro welcomes approaches from anyone who has ever considered joining a choir.  No audition is required!
