There is no question health promotion days provide opportunity and motivation for engaged partners and advocates to draw attention to a message. Our annual Feel Good Feb initiative is testament to this claim and was activated across the state in 2022.
Through Feel Good Feb, Act Belong Commit is encouraging all of us to get on the front foot with our mental health by making it a month filled with feel-good activities.
When it comes to doing good things for others, it’s well known that the feel-good flows in both directions and there are mental health benefits for the giver as well as the receiver.
Act Belong Commit released a Feel Good Feb calendar and a version specific to schools which provides ideas for a simple feel-good activity for each day of the month – actions that will put a smile on your face and on the faces of those around you. It helps people take the initiative and make sure February has an abundance of positive actions, good deeds and random acts of kindness.
The actions are inspired by the evidence-based mental health message of Act Belong Commit: Do something; do something with someone; do something meaningful.
Act Belong Commit partner organisation were also given access to a toolkit of supportive resources, such as social media assets, to get behind the message.

Feel Good Feb is one of multiple promotional initiatives outlined in our 2022 Health Awareness Calendar which brings together various promotional days and weeks providing great opportunities to share the Act Belong Commit message.
