Annual Reconciliation Ball (Shire of East Pilbara)
Hosted by the Shire of East Pilbara, the Reconciliation Ball is held to provide all members of the East Pilbara community and beyond with an opportunity to participate in Reconciliation Week and to recognise, reflect and commemorate the significance of Australia’s reconciliation journey.
About this activity...
Reconciliation Week is held every year between 27 May and the 3 June to acknowledge two significant anniversaries the 1967 referendum and the historic Mabo decision.
Proudly supported by BHP and a variety of service providers, community groups and community members within the region, the Ball provides 300 guests from all over the region an opportunity to enjoy music and entertainment from both local and afar.
The Reconciliation Awards, presented at the Ball, are presented in recognition of those members of the community who have significantly contributed to Reconciliation within the Shire of East Pilbara and beyond.
