Healthway Partnerships bring
Act Belong Commit to life

Healthway has long promoted the Act Belong Commit message through its grant programs. Indeed, Healthway is a founding partner of the Act Belong Commit campaign and has provided funding since 2007 to ensure the campaign’s continued delivery statewide.

Through its Healthy Partnership Program, Healthway provides funding to sport, arts, racing, and community events to help WA communities create programs and activities that support good health now and into the future.

Act Belong Commit is one of Healthway’s chosen health promotion campaign messages directly aligning with one of Healthway’s strategic priorities – improving mental health.

Attaching Act Belong Commit to various activities and events, Healthway Partnerships bolster exposure of the campaign but also importantly help to educate on the principles of Act Belong Commit and provide opportunities for people to adopt mentally healthy behaviours. Being active, having a sense of belonging and having a purpose in life all contribute to good mental health and wellbeing.

Check out the list of organisations currently engaged in promoting Act Belong Commit through funding from Healthway. Healthway Partnerships range from supporting major programs of work to funding specific components of an event or program. For example Northam’s Avon Descent Association promotes Act Belong Commit through its Act Belong Commit Avon Descent Support Unit a team of volunteers focusing on safety for everyone involved.

I made dozens of friends along the way, learnt new skills, had some unforgettable memories and gave back to the community.
