Wanneroo Community Men’s Shed

About this activity...

The Wanneroo Community Men’s Shed is a non-profit organisation accessible to all men. Its major objective is to advance the health and well-being of the members and to encourage greater social inclusion through participating in a voluntary activity.

The shed’s main activities are the refurbishing and recycling of computers. The computers, once refurbished, are for sale at affordable prices, to Centrelink recipients, charity organisations, as well as other non-profit organisations.

The shed has dedicated woodwork and metalwork sections where members can adopt projects which assist with community based projects. In addition there is an important deconstruction and salvage area, where those computers and IT products not destined for a second life, are separated to reclaim the components of value.

Wanneroo Community Men’s Shed is a registered member of Microsoft’s Refurbisher program (RRP), and as a participant in the program are able to install genuine Microsoft products onto suitably refurbished computers.

All the computers recycled have been generously donated by private individuals, local small businesses, major corporate companies and government departments. In addition, we accept printers, flat screen TVs, mobile phones, tablets, modems, all cabling, batteries and any IT products for recycling.

The shed opens on the following days and times (except Public Holidays):

Monday 8.30am to 1.00pm (Woodworking)
Tuesday 9.00am to 2.00pm (Refurbishing & Recycling)
Thursday 8.30am to 1.00pm (Woodworking)
Friday 9.00am to 2.00pm (Refurbishing & Recycling)
During opening hours come and join us for a coffee and chat in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

We are located at 1/31 Creative Street, Wangara
