The Victoria Park Community Garden is a fenced area of Read Park and consists of 32 allotments leased by individuals and families, school and community groups.In addition to the leased plots there are currently 25 fruit trees, some communal growing sections, an amazing worm farm and a social area for making tea and coffee under a giant Moreton Bay Fig.
The community garden is about people in the community coming together and sharing in the harvest and not so much about gardening experts, so all are welcome.
