Lakelands Shopping Centre partners with Act Belong Commit

Lakelands Shopping Centre, based in Mandurah, recently became the first shopping centre in WA to partner with Act Belong Commit.
The South Metropolitan Health Service [SMHS] health promotion team acted as the project lead for the partnership. This included establishing a project management group and organising monthly meetings, developing and implementing the project plan, and supporting a ‘Spring into Life’ community event on Saturday 7 October 2023. The event was the official launch of the partnership.
Lakelands Shopping Centre and Act Belong Commit will work together to promote mental wellbeing for people spending time in the shopping centre. As part of the partnership, new signage has been installed which encourages people to search for Lakelands Shopping Centre on the Act Belong Commit Activity Finder.
It also prompts them to check-in on their mental wellbeing with the Act Belong Commit Mental Wellbeing Quiz.
Lakelands Shopping Centre will also host an annual calendar of events with a focus on mental wellbeing.
