Qualified counsellors at Kids Helpline are available via WebChat, phone or email anytime and for any reason. The five Kids Helpline principles are:
- Privacy and confidentiality
- All young people are treated with respect
- All young people can choose the gender of the counsellor they speak to
- Young people are able to access the same counsellor if they wish to call back
- Young people are encouraged to give feedback about Kids Helpline & the service they receive
Call or chat online with a counsellor at any time with the Support Service is available 24/7. The Beyond Blue forums are a supportive place to connect with young people who are going through similar experiences. ReachOut.com is Australia’s leading online mental health service for young people, providing practical support to help them get through everything from everyday issues to tough times. Available anywhere anytime, the website is full of information written specifically for young people. They provide online chat support as well as information, apps to download and forums to join.
Headspace supports young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drug services, as well as work and study support. With a focus on early intervention, Headspace work with young people to provide support at a crucial time in their lives – to help get them back on track and strengthen their ability to manage their mental health in the future.
